Refund Policy
Effective August 6, 2026 · Applies to purchases of the Claudius Maximus Mac app
We want Claudius Maximus to work for you. If it doesn’t, you can get a refund under this policy. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.
14-day refund window
If Claudius Maximus doesn’t work for you — for any reason — email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we’ll issue a full refund and deactivate your license.
How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] from the email address on your Lemon Squeezy order.
- Include your order number or license key (from your purchase receipt), and a short note that you’d like a refund.
- We’ll confirm, process the refund through Lemon Squeezy, and deactivate the license so it can no longer activate the app.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Timing depends on Lemon Squeezy and your bank or card issuer — typically several business days after we approve the request.
What a refund covers
A refund covers the amount you paid for your Claudius Maximus lifetime license (including applicable sales tax/VAT collected at checkout, as handled by Lemon Squeezy). After a refund, your license key is deactivated and you should stop using the app.
After 14 days
Outside the 14-day window, purchases are generally non-refundable. If something is broken on our side (for example, you cannot activate a valid key or the download is unavailable), email us anyway — we’ll do what we can to make it right, which may include a refund or replacement key at our discretion.
Chargebacks & disputes
Please contact us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute. We’re happy to resolve refund requests directly. Fraudulent chargebacks or abuse of the refund process may result in license deactivation.
Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the laws of your country or state of residence, including any mandatory cooling-off or withdrawal rights that apply to digital goods in your jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. The current version always lives at claudiusmaximus.dev/refund, with the effective date at the top. A change never reduces refund rights for a purchase you already made under a prior version.
